The macro mode from my old SONY Cyber-shot DSC-P5 works, after all. And yes, we have an ant attack on the house. I was able to account for FIVE different species, so far. The one pictured above lives in a plant. Actually, i believe those five species are in a war of some kind for the territory meaning MY house.
The ants pictured below made they way into the house, they actually dig holes thru the walls:
Yes, they are breeding. It's a huge colony, and expanding.

So, my major problem IS NOT the addiction on CS.
The fix from yesterday for the tag-board only makes sense if using MSIE. There is also a glitch with FireFox, but i can't put my finger on it now. Any sugestions?

Depressed. I stayed home all day, and did not get much work done, wich means i'll have to do more tomorrow. Finally found a way to see the portuguese characters in the tag-board - just right click and choose Europa Ocidental (Windows) under the option Codificao. Why it doesn't work by default i don't know.
I'm having strange nightmares..., regarding a long gone philosopher and a sniper rifle..., i wonder what it means?
Now i must go and eat chocolate.

It is quite early..., stop that, it's late, really late, but still, early for wednesday, but! i had to add a little extra (or two).
First: F.U.C.K. the government, F.U.C.K. those bastards!!!! Aaah, that felt good!

Feeling rather tired. With the school year coming to an end, the amount of work increases like..., well it seems to double everyday. But that's fine. I'm really looking forward to the end of classes, simply because i feel exausted.
Sometimes funny things happen but i only realize days after. Like this PC user, complaining about the fact that the new anti-virus software now scans outgoing e-mail, and it takes up to ten minutes to scan the attached files, and that's a long time to wait for the e-mail to be sent. Well, after some tests the PC user was convinced that it took no more than a minute even for a 10 MBytes attachment to be scanned and, oh wonder, he COULD continue to work during that scan!!! Actually, it has always been this way, but before some recent updates the scan activity was hidden (don't have to explain why), but then users started to complain that the anti-virus wasn't working, because they were receiving strange e-mail with warnings of viruses found. So, i took the oportunity given by the necessary updates to change some settings..., guess i should have known better...!

Yesterday i forgot to upload. Guess i should get more sleep. Finally found a graphic setting that allows me to play CS:Source without the constant studdering, but it looks shitty; basically i lowered the textures quality settings, really low level. There was much more to expect from a system with good specs like mine, i guess.

I've been thinking about an upgrade for the wireless network at home. Somehow the actual hardware can be downgraded with a wireless router, making everything simpler and faster. 100 isn't expensive, i'll go for it.
Not much to write about..., i could rant about cheaters in CS:CZ and Source..., SSDD.

Tenho uma checklist de tarefas para o fim-de-semana, mas acho que no a vou conseguir cumprir. Depois de ter passado ontem quatro horas a tentar encolher bases de dados..., e a no conseguir, fiquei tipo..., farto?!
Duas notcias no Publico online deixaram-me de alguma forma apreensivo; a primeira refere-se a um estudo publicado na revista "Nature", onde se l que uma equipa de investigadores norte-americanos construiu um rob flexvel (rob de Lipson, sigam o link e vejam o vdeo) capaz de se multiplicar, com algumas limitaes verdade, mas l que se reproduz um facto; a segunda notcia relativa ao facto de cientistas japoneses na Universidade de Tohoku terem criado uma pilha alimentada pelo sangue (humano)...! Since writing in english is not my cup of tea, i'll try to go bilingual, with a short entry in english and the development in portuguese.
Things have not been easy. Changes in one's space and routine are always hard to cope with. I'll just wait for my mom to get better, but it's going to take a while. For now, and for how long i really don't know, i'll just hope for the best. It could be worse, so i will not complain.
Finally i managed to go online and play a bit of CS:CZ. It went quite well, but i just couldn't handle a PCW today.
No need nor energy to write in portuguese.

Today started a new Gato Fedorento (Stinky Cat) series, The Barbosas, after The Meireles and The Fonsecas. Today also Six Feet Under season three started, so, it was a TV night.
It's getting really late, but there's another episode of South Park starting..., all about TV today. It just means that i'm stressed and should be sleeping, but stress keeps me awake.
The bleeping FTP isn't working so no update.
