LET'S TALK
"E-mail any questions you have and I'll answer them here! I'm looking forward to hearing from you!"
Wow! Thanks for all those wonderful letters.and the tremendous response to the drawing. Earlier, I mentioned to all of you that your questions and comments would be addressed right here in the 'let's talk' section of my website. So, here we go.
I'll be updating this letter from time to time, so keep checking.
Robert Taylor: (what a great name!) No, I haven't (yet...) received any bad responses to my e-mail. I suppose by bad, you mean negative in some way. So far everyone has been very nice and chatty. Some were curious about my background and wanted to know more, others just wanted to talk about my books (which is fine) and a few truly enjoyed the quick recipes. By the way, I loved your site.
VeraERROR MSG: Yes, my books have been translated in nine languages, but unfortunately, not Portugese. I'll pass your request on to my publisher and see if they can add Brazil to the list. Your English is excellent, by the way, so don't be shy about sending out letters.
Lee: Hope you enjoyed the apple tart. I make it often and find that it's always a great pleaser. P.S. Your friend's page is very nice.
Deirdreaccommodation in Faaborg: (who used to write romantic suspense)..I hope you start writing again. The names were provided by the wonderful team who designed my website and yes, I agree, the internet is a great way to get your message through and you do get to meet some wonderful people.
Paula: (who wants to know how I learned to speak English) It's a long, complicated story and I wouldn't recommend my method to anyone. Thanks for buying SUSPICION. Tell me how you liked it.
Beth: When a message starts with: 'I have been a fan of your books...' You know, you've got my attention (G). Thank you, Beth. I hope I'll keep entertaining you.
Liz: I found Booktalk through a friend who already had a website there. I took a look, liked what I saw and contacted Sally@booktalk.com. Are my books available in Australia? I think so. I'm sure any bookstore down under (couldn't resist it) will be able to locate them for you.
Annie: I think there's been a misunderstanding. I don't have a book club. I'm just an author promoting my latest book, SUSPICION, with a drawing that will take place on or about March 23. The winner will receive an autographed copy of one of my books, a package of Godiva coffee and a package of Godiva biscotti. You don't have to do anything more than what you have already done. And of course, you must promise to be a fan forever (g).
John: Thanks for the compliments. I tried to check your homepage but couldn't get through. You gave me www.wkpub.com sometime, but nothing happened. I tried to put a slash after com and still couldn't get through.
Christiane Johnson: What a lovely first name(BG). Are you French by any chance? Please write again and let me know.
JoanneHotels in Hajduszoboszlo: Yes, as a matter of fact, I do plan to write a sequel to SILVER LINING. So many readers have asked me that question that I had to give it serious thoughts even though I normally don't do sequels.
Well, friends, that's it for today. I'll be sending all of you another e-mail to let you know who the April winner is. Until then, good luck to all, keep those lovely letters coming and take care.
