In 1988, Control Data Corporation created Imprimis Technology as theoperating company for its worldwide disk drive business. Adtech was founded in 1989 to act as the Canadian product support armfor manufacturers, such as Imprimis and Seagate, who did not have full servicesubsidiaries in Canada. Since then, we have subsequently added Conner andIomega. The company is owned and managed by ex-Control Data Canada employees,who have been providing these same support services to Canadian customerssince 1971, and is located in Mississauga, Ontario. Our services are availableto anyone in Canada, from coast to coast. When we began with Seagate in 1989, the products we supported were thosemanufactured by Control Data, Imprimis, MPI, CPI, LMSI, and, of course,Seagate itself. In 1992, we became the authorized Canadian support centre for ConnerPeripherals. We began immediately with a disk drive support program, andin April 1994 we included a program for all of their tape drive products(Archive Irwin, Maynard, Cypher) as well.

In March of 1997, Adtech became the authorized Canadian support centrefor Iomega Corporation. Iomega is the manufacturer of the well-known "ZIP"and "JAZ" high capacity and portable disk drives, a well as the"DITTO" back-up tape drive. Any U.S. manufacturer or integrator presently selling into Canada orwanting to expand into Canada, primarily through distribution, should callAdtech to explore how we can help protect marketshare for them, in Canada,through our warranty support services.
